-- Jaideep Sinh Parmar
Executive Director, Beyond Boundaries,
www.beyondboundaries.co.in
Mumbai-based Beyond Boundaries (BB), a sports tourism firm founded by Jaideep Sinh Parmar, a former
cricketer and grandnephew of Raj Sinh Dungarpur, is the brainchild of this young entrepreneur who gave up a
lucrative corporate career to go back to what he was destined to go. Parmar, scion of the erstwhile ruling family of Muli
in Gujarat, was all set to play international cricketDilip Sardesai, Hanumant Singh and Dungarpur saw the spark
in him at a very early ageand he was being groomed to play at
the highest level when a grievous injury to his
thumb cut short a promising career. Alumnus of the prestigious Rajkumar College that has produced seven test players
for India, including Duleep Sinhji and Ranjit Sinhji, Jaideep scored a century on the very same ground when he was
just nine years old and later went on to face the mighty Australians, but injury bowled him out at 18. Though
shattered, he quickly changed track and moved into the corporate world, going on to achieve many highs during his time
at AT&T and Reliance Infocomm and simultaneously pursued MBA from Symbiosis, Pune. With a rich and
diverse corporate experience, a fine understanding of the lifestyle and luxury segment, coupled with his passion for sport,
he founded BB, a sports tourism firm, based in Mumbai in the year 2003.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP
The Historical Gendering of Entrepreneurship:
A Graduate Enterprise Perspective
-- Sue Clegg and Sally Jones
Universities increasingly encourage students to gain skills and
develop entrepreneurial abilities to support both their career development and
economic growth generally through the creation of new businesses and self-employment
on graduation. However, a long line of male thinkers have shaped
entrepreneurship education approaches throughout the world and this has traditionally
positioned entrepreneurship as a masculine-framed concept. In an increasingly
female university sector, this historical focus on the male experience has implications
for curriculum development and suggests a need for more critical engagement
with this complex social, political and economic phenomenon.
