Before
the acquisition by Perot Systems Corporation, we were known as Vision Healthsource.
Vision was founded by Anurag Jain, my elder brother. As a family-owned company,
we had modest start and initially focused on providing BPO services to healthcare
providers and payers. The company started with just two people, working out of
cafeteria of a transcription company based out of Bangalore. My father used to
own a shed in Ambattur and we decided to build out a small facility in that space.
Given the nature of the healthcare industry, acceptance of BPO as a business strategy
was slow. We utilized the time we had at that point in time to create a scalable
services delivery model.
