As the crisis of confidence has played across the headlines everyday, it has overshadowed the structural changes in the US financial system that has created the `Crisis of Capital Inefficiency' says Richard J Wayman, President, Researchstock.com, US.

Wall Street, as we knew it is dead. The system that allowed the US economy to be a dynamic innovator has been fundamentally broken and the implications of these structural changes are yet to be fully felt. While the US economy has weathered many serious challenges before and will continue to exist, the key question is whether it will retain the capacity to provide capital to innovators.
