Empowerment of women is not for self-sufficiency but to establish womaness as warmth, love and understanding. Today, women have started taking up jobs at all levels and sharing responsibilities of the male bread-earners. They are now much more educated and have been enjoying comforts and amenities. The new era must hold empowerment of women as its prime target. So, working women, wake up!

 
 
 

Whatever women do, they must do twice as well as men to be thought half as good. Luckily, this is not difficult.

As far as the participation of women in the business is concerned, the historians had long held the opinion that women were shut out from economic life during the age of modernization and urbanization. Furthermore, the ideals of running the household pushed women away from active participation in business. Leaving aside all mudslinging and backbiting, the needs of the women in the present day are to be well considered. They have started taking up jobs at all levels and have taken a bit off the shosulders of the male bread-earners. They are now much more educated and are enjoying comforts and amenities which the women of the previous ages did not enjoy.

The participation of women in business is still at a `tortoise pace' as recent studies describe that in the middle-level management, men outnumber women by almost 5:1 and in the senior level management; again men are leading by 20:1. What could be the reason for this kind of discrepancy? Is it due to certain typical factors of women? Or is it due to various stories and incidents spreading disrespect towards women population?
