Nitin Sanker, a BE in Computer Science (IIT Roorkee; 1985-1989) and an MBA in HR and Marketing (IIM Calcutta), has close to 25 years’ work experience, which includes a four-year stint as an HR generalist and startup specialist with NIIT where he helped start four of NIIT’s new offices (JVs) in the Middle East, Thailand and Singapore, and where his job involved building all the HR policies and systems, recruiting people, getting the marketing organized and ensuring that JVs were started; and another four-year stint with Center of Business Transformation (a division of Aptech, Hexaware Group), where he headed a team of 10 consultants and consulted for over 30 organizations in the process and policy development for overall company effectiveness. Currently, he is the CEO of Middle Earth, a position he has been holding for the past 16 years. Under his dynamic leadership, Middle Earth has grown to be Asia’s largest specialist training and certification company for training in HRM leadership and people management. Middle Earth runs close to 500 open workshops a year operating in 20 locations and across 8 countries, and has been rated as one of the top 10 Movers and Shakers for the year 2013 by Training Industry Magazine, the world’s best trade publication and rating agency for training. Nitin is a globally renowned trainer and has trained over 10,000 senior HR professionals from over 49 countries and mentored over 500 companies in over 20 countries. Companies he has trained/consulted in the last 15 years include Americana and Banque Du Cairo (Egypt); TCS, Crompton Greaves, Dr. Reddy’s (India); British Petroleum and ITB (Indonesia); Petroleum Development Authority and National Bank (Oman); Holcim and Rice Research Institute (Philippines); Umniah (Jordan); Dubai Holdings, IFFCO and Masafi (Dubai); and Fauji Fertilisers and Benetton (Pakistan). He has also done projects for nationwide capability development for the governments of Kuwait, Indonesia, Nigeria and Mauritius.
