Temperature Control Systems for the Textile Industry

The paper discusses automatic temperature control system of textile industry. The system consists of temperature sensing unit, ATmega8, LCD module, switching device, driver, PWM generator and sprinkler. The system maintains temperature in a particular limit. The cooling system turns on with increase in temperature and vice versa. The system operates on preset values of temperature which is detected by the temperature sensor. The temperature sensor consists of an LM35 IC and connected to the ADC input of the AT 89c51mC. The system is simulated by proteus software, and the hardware is designed using arduino microcontroller. The simulated results are analyzed and concluded.

 
 

Textile industry has been a vital part of the national economy in India today. In the process of textile production, air quality needs to be strictly controlled. The fluctuating range of relative humidity has to be small (about 5%) and temperature should not be too low (20 oC) or too high (31 oC), otherwise the product quality and working efficiency will be jeopardized. On the other hand, the air conditioning equipment consumes lots of energy, which amounts to 25% ~ 30% of consumed electric power and 40% of the total consumed water of a textile mill (in summer) (Fuzhuan, 2010), because of the influence of various factors such as the differences in seasons, regions, temperature between day and night. An exact match model for the air conditioning system of a textile mill is very difficult to build. So how should the air conditioning system of a textile mill play a good role in controlling, which is at least in part dependent on the accurate and sensitive regulation of air conditioning automatic control system (Fuzhuan, 2010)?
