This article analyzes the forces, factors and agents of change involved in technology management in general and the modern digital technology management in particular. In order to have unbridled technology management program without passive or open resistance, it is essential to undertake technology management program coupled with the development of humanware simultaneously.

In the era of globalization and electronic revolution, there is a revolutionary change with respect to business management which used to revolve around the study and the adoption of better methods of production and distribution. Modern business management has become not only a science but also a sophisticated modern art. It is comprehensive and concrete in systematically studying and applying the principles and methods of all modern issues of management related to supply chain management, logistics, materials management, human relations management to dealer-distributor-retailer management, that is, channel partner's management and so on. Thus modern business management has acquired the dual characteristics of science and art, i.e., theory and skill.

The four recognized major components of high-technology are Orgaware, Humanware, Technoware and Infoware. There is a greater need for research in organizations. Often organizations concentrate more on conducting research in production technology related issues. Understanding the problems of organizational behavior and organizational psychology in relation to organizational structure, organizational conditions, politico-economic conditions that include crucial issues such as inflation vis-à-vis economic recession, problems of demand-supply, socio-cultural conditions of the given region and above all with respect to the development of science and technology in the corresponding industry is important for any given organization.

Skinner, a noted behavioral psychologist, had established that a man's behavioral pattern can be conditioned through proper and scientific applications of psychology in general and that of conditioned methods and techniques in particular. All these were scientifically demonstrated through his famous `Theory of Operant Conditioning.' It is a fact that right from the days of Industrial Revolution, man's production-related ideas and methods which include technology harnessing and other production-related forces are always ahead of their respective organizational structures on the one hand, and socio-political-economic structures of the given countries on the other.
