Satyam Computer Services Limited expanded its world wide operations at a rapid pace from 28 countries in 2004 to 65 countries in 2008. Over the last couple of years, the revenue distribution has changed with approximately 60% of revenue coming from US, 20% from Europe and 20% from the Rest of the World (RoW includes: Asia PAC, Middle East, and Africa). European and RoW markets represent multiple regulatory regimes. Expansion in these regions presents complexities like immigration, localization, taxation, and payroll. This article details the design and implementation of a successful performance measurement and process improvement framework that supported business growth and global expansion of the company.

This article illustrates how measures were used to strengthen and improve the processes supporting business growth in the organization.

The framework presented can be applied to any environment, at minimum cost to investors. The plan can also be used in conjunction with other process improvement tools that an organization may have to ensure for successful implementation of the desired process.
