LeasePlan is the world leader in the business of vehicle leasing and fleet management, operating with a fleet of more than 1.2 million vehicles across the globe. India is LeasePlan's first foray into the Asian market. LeasePlan India started its operations in 1999, and today it has more than 6500 vehicles on the road. LeasePlan was formed in 1963 in the Netherlands under the partnership of an Opel car dealer and a Dutch bank. By 2004, the company had a presence in 26 countries. LeasePlan has also acquired and integrated Dial in the UK, Italy, Spain and France, and CSC in the US.
