institutes endeavor to shape
management graduates to fit for the global business world. It's true that most
B-schools groom young MBA aspirants to grab corporate job opportunities during their
campus stay. Recently a survey has been conducted by
a corporate firm and it has revealed the fact that
most MBA aspirants come out from institutes with
raw hands whereas companies need young professionals with excellent managerial skills
and leadership qualities. Hence, MBA aspirants who lack required job skills just suitable for clerk
posts. Most job recruiting agencies exhorted that
MBAs without corporate skills and managerial
abilities should not expect high salaries.
Young MBAs must cultivate the top three characteristics such as Cultural
assimilation, Proven performance, and Effective
communication skills. These qualities are highly essential to
lure employers. In the present scenario, job
prospects are based on skills honed during the MBA program. So it's the onus of MBA aspirants
to develop good leadership abilities and
organizing skills to get lucrative jobs. Corporate HR
Manager, Raghu Nath, opined that Many MBAs are
under the illusion that they would get fat salary
pay packs as soon as they come out from institutes.
But they could be called greedy if they expect handsome salaries without
managerial competencies and command over the
English language, he added. The best management
skills are always immensely helpful to the
employers. Hence, recruiters don't hesitate to offer high
start up salaries to the smart guys. So, young management graduates should hone
their leadership skills and prove that they are
best suited for the job.
Dipak Jain, Dean, Kellogg School of Management, says, "The management education is more
in demand than ever though the business fundamentals have not changed. Entrepreneurs
of different disciplines want to learn the principles
of business and how to run a business
successfully". So, MBA remains in good demand. "It's true
that management education is getting stronger and
B-Schools will become business intellectual clubs. Business schools have not to be just schools
of management but also schools of leadership' he added.
Cutthroat corporate competition is omnipresent
in this free markets era. Hence, corporate firms believe that fresh MBAs would bring
necessary energies to tackle challenges. Now, MBA degree
is the most desired by students as well as working professionals to make a mark in the job
market. MBA aspirants should keep in mind that
