The article provides an insight into "strategy" and its constitutes, and also the measures to be taken to achieve the corporate goals.

The corporate world has for a long time pondered about the concept of understanding strategy and provided an abundance of frameworks for analyzing strategic situations. However, what seems to be missing is the guidance regarding the end product of this analysis or simply speaking, what should exactly be the strategy to really achieve the corporate goals.

Strategy has become a catch-all term, being commonly used to mean whatever people wants to mean. Right from the management boardrooms to markets, executives just seem to talk only one word, "Strategy" viz., "Branding Strategy", "Service Strategy", "Acquisition Strategy", etc. The pertinent question that arises is that, what do the above have in common? Well, the only common factor is that none of them is a strategy. They are strategic threads, mere elements of strategy. The use of above reflects an increasingly common syndromethe catch-all fragment of strategy.
