Abstract

Fish, crab, prawns and other seafood are among the animal-derived foods that are regarded as the safest in contemporary world in terms of enhancing food security. Globally, aquaculture is growing rapidly. India has a big impact on aquaculture due to its proximity to water. In the dynamic context of aquaculture ponds, the interactions between water quality factors are complicated. For instance, unbalanced temperature and pH conditions may make ammonia more dangerous. In poor quality water, fish do eat, but the calories are changed to promote health rather than development. When the water is of high quality, animals can defend themselves most effectively. In this paper, the proposed model monitors and controls fish growth, detection of aquatic animal illnesses and Water Quality Index (WQI). Automated aquaculture employing Arduino and image enhancement techniques are used mainly to spot fish infections. Additionally, management of aqua system is employed to generate high-quality aqua food for customers.

Introduction

The state of Tamil Nadu, with the second-longest coastline in India, has abundant natural resources for coastal aqua farming. Fish and fishery products are among the safest foods of animal origin, helping to increase global food security. India has made a significant contribution to aquaculture since the nation is well surrounded by water and aquaculture is expanding very quickly. Monitoring of water quality is the only source of data used for fisheries management. Fish illnesses are highly common and have a direct influence on the production of the catch. Additionally, poor water quality might slow down fish harvesting and affect fish development. The physical, chemical and biological characteristics of the water are completely necessary for producing fish at the highest level. Water quality is
