Abstract

The study utilizes the technology acceptance model in the domain of e-learning, focusing on students' parents as respondents. Due to Covid-19 pandemic, the economies are facing a troublesome situation, and every sector is being badly affected. In the midst of all this, face-toface interaction of teaching-learning is being replaced by virtual/online interaction, and almost every country of the world is migrating towards the online education system. It creates an opportunity for the parents to interact, involve and be familiar with the present virtual education platform. As home-based parental participation in online education is the least explored area of research, this study addresses the issue concerned with the help of technology acceptance model.


Description

Learning is one of the important aspects of individual's behavior. It is not only concerned with the process of acquiring knowledge and experience but also its implementation for future behavior. The behavioral theory of learning identified learning as an observable response to stimuli, whereas the cognitive learning theory puts the focus on the mental process of learning. The academic institutions are known as the best ever medium to facilitate the process of learning either in the form of behavioral or cognitive perspective, or both. But due to Covid-19 pandemic, the economies are facing a troublesome situation, and every sector is being badly affected. Sooner or later, the sectors will revive but the education sector is definitely going to face its everlasting effect. Consequently, school education is being affected badly and till date there is huge uncertainty about reopening of schools and conducting examinations, etc. In the midst of all this, face-to-face interaction of teaching/learning is being replaced by virtual/online interaction, and almost every country of the world is migrating towards online education system.
