Feel-good factor, a feeling of being optimistic, satisfied and joyful increases creativity and productivity. If you do well you feel good, or if you feel good you do good. It can be the act of talking and/or listening to a good talk, serving others, many moments in one's life or about a product or sports; it is that feeling that makes one happy and positive. But one thing that is inevitable in people's lives is stress. In the modern-day workplace, stress has blighted the lives of millions of employees. The important thing is for employees to understand and learn the art of managing and coping with stress. This paper examines the employees' 'feel-good factor' and its use in managing workplace stress.

Doing what you like is freedom, liking what you do is happiness.

Introduction

Feeling good makes us happy within and is reflected on our face, our positive attitude and our behavior. Reasons can be different for different people, but at the workplace it is a reflection of job satisfaction, getting paid well, how one feels about others or about how one is treated. Having a friendly environment, loving our job, monetary benefits, recognition, motivation and morale, all these factors help boost feel-good hormones and help relieve stress.

In 1992, stress was described by the United Nations as "the 20th century disease." Sadly, not much has changed in the 21st century. Studies in the US have found that 80% of workers felt stress at work, with nearly half of them saying they needed help to deal with it1. The causes of workplace stress includes-job insecurity, long working hours, lack of opportunity for growth, low pay package, and a lack of recognition. However, the crux of the problem is how to deal with it? The new-found solution to this long-standing problem is 'Feeling Good'. It does not merely depend on external
