Cloud will increasingly be the default option for software deployment. The same is true for custom software, which increasingly is designed for some variation of public or private cloud.
This does not mean that everything will be cloud-based, and concern will remain valid in some cases. However, the extreme of having nothing cloud-based will largely disappear.
Cloud computing and artificial intelligence will melt into one another. Frederic
Wickert also referred to the role of machine and deep learning in the field of AI.
Nowadays, we are used to intelligent assistants like Cortana, Siri, Alexa and Google Assistant. Gary Eastwood from the IDG Contributor Network predicts an AI and cloud fusion in the future. According to him, The many, disparate servers which are part of cloud technology hold the data which an AI can access and use to make decisions and learn things like how to hold a conversation. But as the AI learns this, it can impart this new data back to the cloud, which can help other AIs learn as well. In fact, with the cloud, we reach a calculation power and the capability of treating a number of data and intelligence.
The first paper, Designing a Hybrid Brain Computer Interface System: An Introduction, by Sorush Niknamian, efficiently creates hybrid Brain Computer Interface (BCI) which is computationally optimal and improves high classification accuracy. Of course, BCI systems are evolving for some time now, as the one with famous Stephen Hawking, and this will have probably a huge impact in future. The hybrid system addresses a combination of Steady State Visual Evoked Potential (SSVEP)\P300 conditionsenabling increase in commands (from brain to computer device).
Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) have conflicts as well as monopoly on measurement systems that govern Service Level Agreement (SLA), Quality assurance of Services (QoS), etc. Here, it is essential to bring a measurement system on client side that can
effectively win the trust or bring balance of power to client or customer. Also these measurement systems can be governed by government bodies that are more transparent to the larger public. The proposed Client-Side Measuring and Monitoring (CSMM) model in the paper, DPS-Yemane-Shareme CSMM Model for Client-Side SLA of Green Cloud Services Measuring and Monitoring, by Yemane Gebreslassie and Durga Prasad Sharma, resolves the above issues and provides tools and techniques that would enable CSP measurement system that is transparent, trustworthy and cross-verifiable. The stated model has been deployed and validated by various clients using applications such as E-Draw Max, AppNeta and 42U.
In the third paper, eLogbook: An Android-Based Logbook System, by Joshua J V,
Alao O D, Ogbudje E and Ogundipe O K, eLogbook has been implemented using
android-based automated logbook system. In this system event, processes and activities are associated with Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES).
The IV part of the paper, Cloud Computing for MATLAB and R Users: Part IV How to Use MATLAB in the Cloud, by Michael Gallagher, Erick Rengifo and Rossen Trendafilov, enables the cloud user with actual implementable process or project on cloud either using MATLAB or R. Finally, researchers and industrial project developers can implement their ideas in user-friendly cloud computing programming Languages without wasting their time and breaking their brain to code the program. It also helps in problem solving besides being direct and dynamic.

Designing a Hybrid Brain Computer Interface System: An Introduction
Brain Computer Interface (BCI) is a communication system between human brain and a computer or a peripheral device which by recording brain signals directly sends messages and commands from the human brain to computer. According to brain activity patterns of Electroencephalography (EEG), BCIs are divided into different types. The most important of these patterns is called ERP (Event-Related Potentials) which appears after particular events in the EEG signal. Combining various types of BCI systems is called hybrid BCI, which increases the efficiency of BCI system. The paper concentrates on a hybrid P300-Steady State Visual Evoked Potential (SSVEP) speller BCI system in order to enhance the accuracy. The paper aims at designing a BCI system based on P300 and SSVEP patterns, which sequentially can rectify the weakness points of the conventional BCIs. Our hybrid BCI system consists of two sections: SSVEP condition and P300 condition. We used two different types of software to design our hybrid BCI and achieved a relatively high classification accuracy with the hybrid system. In order to develop a practical daily use EEG system, signals were captured with a standard low-cost EMOTIV-Epoc system. We designed a hybrid SSVEP-P300 BCI platform by two different software. The hybrid BCI system consists of two sections, including SSVEP condition and P300 condition. From a set of six frequencies in a 66 speller matrix we had, we could detect one-group characters with the same frequencies through six groups. Secondly, we could detect desired character that is there in the selected group of 36 characters. This hybrid system can help SVEP condition to choose more commands using P300 condition so that it can help to increase the number of commands from 6 to 36 commands. In our system, we can achieve only six choices by SSVEP condition.
DPS-Yemane-Shareme CSMM Model for Client-Side SLA of Green Cloud Services Measuring and Monitoring
Substantial development of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) has imprinted a great role in our lives and lifestyles. The ICTs provide a convenient environment for the customer for computing, communication and collaboration. The Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) offer several types of IT resources/services via the internet. These are provided based on a Service Level Agreement (SLA) signed by both the parties, i.e., CSPs and customers/ clients. As a matter of fact, several trust violations and lack of transparency have been observed in terms of metering of consumed cloud services along with nonfunctional requirements promised (i.e., quality, availability/uptime and greenness) in products/services provided by CSPs over the cloud. In order to establish satisfactory trust and transparency in billing and metering of services, a trusted environment is needed. As a primary investigation, several discrepancies are observed in billing, because SLAs are designed and used by CSPs side only for measurement and billing along with the Quality assurance of Services (QoS). It implies that CSPs have no transparency and monopoly on the measurement and billing systems. This study is an effort to empower the cloud clients/customers through introducing a new clientside metering and billing system model for consumed cloud services. This system can help the customer to cross-verify the measured/metered and billed services with promised quality attributes like greenness. It can assure better transparency and trusted billing. This paper considers the performance, service outage, performance satisfaction, update, violation, and greenness, etc. Finally, a simulated model for Client-Side Metering and Monitoring of SLA, termed as DPS-Yemane-Shareme Client-Side Measuring and Monitoring (CSMM) model, is developed and validated using E-Draw Max, AppNeta and 42U.

Events associated with the Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) in the developing countries, including Nigeria, are recorded manually. As a result, the effectiveness and accuracy of the scheme are often defeated. The paper presents the design and implementation of an android-based electronic logbook system for the administration of SIWES. The application eliminated the problems associated with the existing paper logbook, which include storage problems, complications associated with forgery or manipulation of contents. It also allows students, supervisors and lecturers to carry out their tasks seamlessly.
Cloud Computing for MATLAB and R Users: Part IV How to Use MATLAB in the Cloud
Cloud-based computing has tremendous potential for academia in general and researchers in particular. The ability to store, read and manipulate large dataset is increasingly important to be on the cutting-edge of research. While most researchers have extensive programming skills, they generally are not computer scientists. A number of cloud-based, virtual work spaces have been developed which can bring enormous computing advantages over any desktop or laptop. However, the instructions to get up and running in the cloud are often overwhelming, and require a significant investment of time. There is an initial steep learning curve associated with developing a high performance computing environment that several times becomes an obstacle, preventing many from benefitting the most from using the cloud. This paper seeks to demystify the process and get the reader up and running very quickly. Once this initial process is over and the reader is proficient on these issues, performing computational chores that would take days on a desktop can be done in minutes. We next show the way the readers can implement their research using two well-known computer programs, MATLAB and R. Finally, Part IV concludes with a description on how to use MATLAB in the cloud.
