Abstract

In this paper, cache nodes are deployed in the networks based on the newly proposed routing protocol for gathering the data from nodes. MATLAB is used to find out the results. Several parameters are calculated to evaluate the outcomes. There are very few number of dead nodes and higher number of alive nodes as visualized by the proposed routing protocol and as depicted in the outcomes. It is also seen that the previously existing protocol transmitted less number of packets, and this rate increased when proposed routing protocol is applied.

Description

A network in which a huge number of sensor nodes are placed and are connected through wireless nodes is called a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). These networks are deployed in certain regions which need to be monitored at regular intervals (Mihaela et al., 2016). Any kind of information sensed from the surroundings can be collected to be processed further by the authorized parties. Any kind of changes arising in the surroundings can be collected, processed and forwarded across these networks (Rohit and Sumeet, 2015). There are numerous physical conditions and parameters which can be measured using these sensors. However, the size and processing capabilities of the sensor nodes deployed in the networks are very small (Yick et al., 2008).
