Higher value of FSR allows more number of channels to be incorporated. The Performance of a triple Asymmetrical Optical Multiple Ring Resonator (ATOMRR) as an optical filter is analyzed in the paper, "Enhanced FSR Asymmetrical Triple Optical Ring Resonator", by Parnab Saha, Sumanta Kundu and Sanjoy Mandal. Models of two different silicon nitride materials are considered for frequency response analysis. It is shown that the extended FSR output is in THz range and can be obtained for photonics applications.Static Random-Access Memory (SRAM) cells are used in primary memory storage devices due to their higher operation speed. Typical SRAM chips are made up of six transistors (6T) or eight transistors (8T) or more. In the paper, "Simulation of 6T and 8T SRAM Cell with Power Dissipation Analysis", by Samayita Sarkar, Rimi Ghosh, Bikash Dey and Juli Kumari, simulation is carried out to compare power dissipation performance. It is demonstrated that 8T SRAM device consumes very little compared with the conventional 6T SRAM cell.

Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor (TCSC) is a power electronics-based Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) device used for series compensation to increase the the power transmission capability of transmission lines. Some of the advantages are increase in power transfer capability, reduction in transmission line losses and improved voltage control. In the paper, "An Analysis of Fault Location in a Transmission Line with and Without TCSC", by Okumu Cephas and Akshay A Pandya, a method is proposed for correct location of faults on transmission lines provided with TCSC. Compared to the conventional distance relays technique, the proposed method gives precise identification of fault location. Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) technology is used for charging mobiles, laptops, electric vehicles, etc. In the paper, "Recent Trends in Wireless Power Transfer Using Resonance Inductive Power Transfer (RIPT) and Its Applications", by U Surendrakumaran and Alamelu Nachiappan, a comprehensive review of various wireless power transfer methods is presented. Various technical challenges are faced while applying WPTs, techniques to overcome these challenges are also discussed.

Enhanced FSR Asymmetrical Triple Optical Ring Resonator
Parnab Saha, Sumanta Kundu and Sanjoy Mandal

The paper proposes an Asymmetrical Triple Optical Ring Resonator (ATORR) and investigates its performances. Delay line signal processing scheme along with Mason's Gain Formula is implemented to develop the transfer function of this configuration. Two different materials are used for this model, i.e., SOI (2.0167) and SIN (2.811), and their frequency responses are analyzed and compared to obtain different Free Spectral Range (FSR) outputs on MATLAB. Along with widening of FSR, crosstalks and resonance loss are also reduced. The extended FSR output is in THz range that has wide application in the field of photonics.

Simulation of 6T and 8T Sram Cell with Power Dissipation Analysis
Samayita Sarkar, Rimi Ghosh, Bikash Dey and Juli Kumari

Reducing the power consumption in VLSI circuits is a prime concern nowadays. Memory circuits play an important role in the design of electronic small power devices. Almost every digital system has memory as an important part in their design. The high speed circuits dissipate a considerable amount of power in a short time. In this paper, conventional SRAM cell is modified a little bit to reduce the dynamic power dissipation. The overall capacitance is reduced by adding a few extra transistors. Because of the fact that charging and discharging of the bit lines consume most power, 6T cell and 8T cell can be used to reduce the power by adding an extra number of transistors to the pull down path. 6T SRAM cell and 8T SRAM cells are simulated and their performance is compared in terms of power dissipation.

An Analysis of Fault Location in a Transmission Line with and Without TCSC
Okumu Cephas and Akshay A Pandya

In modern transmission lines, the use of Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) devices on grid is demanding due to the advanced use of power electronics. The paper analyzes Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor (TCSC) on a transmission line since different researchers have proved that the use of series compensators on a power grid is the cheapest way of ensuring the system improved stability, increased power transfer capability, reduced transmission losses, enhanced voltage control and more power control. Various faults due to TCSC malfunctioning in fault location affect the continuous supply of electric energy, causing losses to companies and also affecting consumers. Therefore correct location of fault is important to enable quick repair. The paper discusses operational characteristics and malfunctioning of TCSCs and Fault Section Indicator (FSI) plots which can be applied to locate the exact position of fault in a transmission line to eliminate dependence on distance relay.
