The study looks at the influence of demographic and organizational factors on work addiction among middle-level employees in Jammu and Kashmir. It finds that age and salary have a major role, with higher earning and older workers exhibiting stronger inclinations towards workaholism. The effects of gender, family structure, and organizational traits are minimal. Work addiction has a negative impact on one’s health, productivity, and personal life, highlighting the need for comprehensive organizational treatments. The study emphasizes how crucial it is to treat work addiction to lessen performance problems, social isolation, and health issues. It offers organizations guidance on how to encourage middle-level workers in the Jammu region and elsewhere to have a healthier work-life balance
Workaholic behavior patterns, including compulsive dependency, perfectionism, and achievement orientation, can indeed have different antecedents and consequences, as supported by studies conducted by Burke (1999), McMillan and O’Driscoll (2004) and Orneck and Kolac (2020). These patterns often manifest differently in individuals and may
