This paper presents a simple, low-cost design of slit-loaded square patch antenna (SLPA) with inset feeding techniques fabricated on Rogers RT/Duriod 5880 material for dual-band frequency-based wireless applications. The design involves five slits etched on patch surface with optimized dimensions. The design makes the antenna to have dual resonance at two independent renounces at the frequency bands of 4.61 GHz and 11.64 GHz having bandwidths of 2% and 14.6% in the operating band, as compared to conventional patch design. Together with improved radiation characteristics and voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) values, the antenna additionally demonstrates higher return loss characteristics.
Antenna, a crucial component of wireless communication equipment, has advanced remarkably, particularly in terms of compactness and bandwidth.
