Critical Nodes in Supply Chains: The Appeal of Logistical Facilities to Terrorist Actors
Abstract

Introduction

Logistical facilities are essential for the functioning of global trade, while simultaneously serving as strategic targets for malicious actors, particularly terrorist actors. Ports, airports, and landbased infrastructures enable the seamless movement of goods and individuals across international borders. However, their inherent vulnerabilities, exacerbated by globalization and digitization, expose supply chains to substantial risks, including terrorism, cyberattacks, and other forms of disruption.
