Performance Evaluation of Mutual Funds Using Risk-Adjusted Return Measures: An Analysis of HDFC Equity SIP Schemes
Abstract

This study analyzes the performance of selected systematic investment plan (SIP) schemes of HDFC Mutual Fund from 2015-16 to 2024-25. By assessing risk-adjusted return and volatility patterns, the study provides insights into the efficiency and stability of selected HDFC equity schemes. It is found that HDFC Small Cap Fund and HDFC Mid-Cap Opportunities Fund are the riskiest, but provide the highest returns, and HDFC Balanced Advantage Fund, with the lowest volatility, offers stability. The findings may help investors make informed decisions by identifying the best-performing funds based on risk-return characteristics.
