On
the Capacity Analysis of Cellular CDMA Systems
--
Alok Aggarwal, Rajendra Prasad, Mohan Lal and Sunita Devi
This
paper presents the capacity analysis of Code Division Multiple
Access (CDMA) systems. The study incorporates soft handoff,
with power control and without power control, voice activity
factor, interference factor, and macro-diversity factor. The
result includes the system capacity in users per cell overhead
due to soft handoff and power control effects.

Determinants
of Effort, Cycle Time, Quality and Productivity in Software
Development Projects: Gleanings from Prior Empirical Research
--
Aiyasami Ramachandran
Although
software applications are gaining ubiquitous presence in almost
every walk of human life, the task of developing high quality
software within the budgeted time and cost still remains a
great challenge. With the increasing pressure on time to market,
attaining acceptable levels of performance on effort and cycle
time, the quality and productivity in software development
projects is still a major concern for software development
firms.

Effect
of Dependencies on Change Impact in Component-Based System
--
Nasib Singh Gill and Balkishan
Component-based
tools and techniques have received wide popularity among researchers
and software practitioners. Component-Based Software Development
(CBSD) not only enhances the productivity, but also reduces
the cost of software development. The growing size of component-based
systems brings greater challenges towards its maintenance.
In a large and complex Component-Based System (CBS), the development
cost is much lower than its maintenance cost, which is a major
concern.

Exploring
the Factors That Influence User Resistance to the Implementation
of ERP
--
Sumeet Gupta and Bharti Keswani
With
growing competition, there is greater need for firms to become
customer focused. More than ever before, we see even small
companies employing ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems
for the smooth functioning of the organization. However, these
firms still face resistance from the users to these systems.
The objective of this research is to identify the factors
that influence the users' resistance to change from a technology
adoption perspective.
